Why embroidery for uniforms
A printed logo sits on top of the fabric; an embroidered one is fabric. That’s why it survives industrial washing, scaffolding, kitchen heat and everything else a working garment goes through. For staff who wear the same polo four days a week, it’s the only finish worth paying for.
It also reads as more considered. A stitched left chest on a decent piqué polo is the difference between looking like a company and looking like a promo giveaway.
How your logo becomes stitches
Embroidery machines don’t read logo files. Your artwork has to be digitised — converted into a stitch file that tells the machine where to put every needle drop, in what order, at what density. Done badly, letters fill in and edges go wobbly. Done well, a 60mm chest logo stays crisp.
We digitise in-house and we don’t charge for it. That includes redrawing artwork that isn’t usable — a photo of an old jacket, a low-resolution JPEG, a logo you no longer have the source file for.

Common questions
Is there a minimum order?
No. We’ll embroider a single polo. Unit prices do come down with quantity, and the biggest step is usually around 25 pieces.
Do you really not charge for digitising?
Correct — setup is free, including redraws. The stitch file stays on our system, so reorders cost nothing extra to set up either.
Can you match my exact brand colours?
We match to the closest available thread shade and show you the match before production. Thread is dyed in fixed shades rather than mixed like ink, so it’s a very close match rather than a guaranteed exact Pantone.
How small can the text go?
Around 5mm cap height is the practical floor for legible stitching. Below that, letterforms close up. We’ll flag it at mock-up stage if something in your logo is too fine and suggest an alternative.
Can you embroider garments I supply?
Usually yes. We’ll ask to see one first to check the fabric and construction will hoop safely. Note that we can’t take responsibility for customer-supplied garments damaged in the process, though it’s rare.
